Taking bookings and deposits online
Let anglers book a trip and pay a deposit themselves from a hosted page.
Online booking gives you a hosted booking page on your own branded address (your-outfit.fishingoutfitter.app/book) where an angler picks a trip type and dates, enters their details, and pays a deposit by card. Unlike the lead-capture form — which collects an inquiry for you to follow up — this creates a real booking and a deposit invoice automatically, with no lead triage in between.
How it works
- An angler opens your booking page and chooses a trip type, dates, and party size.
- They enter their contact details and (optionally) opt in to text updates.
- They pay the deposit by card through secure Stripe checkout.
- A confirmed booking and a paid deposit appear in your dashboard, with the client added automatically.
The deposit is calculated from the trip type's price and deposit percentage and scales with party size, so a group's deposit reflects the whole group. Only trip types that have at least one active season show up as bookable.
If you don't take cards online yet
Card deposits require a connected Stripe account. Until you connect one, the same page collects a no-charge booking request instead — the angler's booking lands as an inquiry and you confirm it and arrange the deposit yourself. Connect Stripe to start collecting deposits at the moment of booking.
Turning it on and sharing it
Switch it on under Settings → Organization (“Accept public online bookings”). Your booking link then appears under Settings → Your Branded URLs and on the Integrations page — share it from your website, social bios, or email signature. Turn it off anytime if you'd rather take bookings by phone or relationship; the page goes dark and the link stops working.
Public online booking & payment is a Pro-plan feature. On the Basic plan you can still collect inquiries through your public lead-capture page and enter bookings yourself.
