Preview what your anglers and guides will see
See your client portal with a sample angler and your guide app with a sample guide, using your own branding, settings and plan, before you invite anyone.
Before you invite a client or a guide, you can see what they'll land on. The client preview shows your portal with a sample angler, and the guide preview shows the guide app with a sample guide. Both use your real branding, settings and plan, and nothing in either one is saved or sent.
Previews are available to owners and admins on every plan.
Preview the client portal
Open it from any of these places:
- See what your anglers will see, on the setup checklist.
- Preview in portal, under the welcome message in Settings. It shows your saved message, so save an edit before previewing it.
- Preview as angler, on the Gear List page.
- Preview the client portal, on the Clients page while you're looking at clients who need an invite, and Preview what they'll see, on a client's page before their portal is active.
You'll see your portal as a sample angler named Sam, booked on your first active trip type, season and water. If you haven't set up a trip type yet, Sam is booked on a sample full-day float. Your logo, brand color, welcome message, gear list, FAQ, gallery and menu are your own, and a tab your plan doesn't include says so, because your clients won't see it either. The banner at the top shows the address your anglers sign in at.
- Pay Now is shown but turned off. If Stripe isn't connected, the preview notes that clients will see your wire or check instructions instead.
- The Documents, To-Dos, Travel and Profile tabs aren't shown, because they hold a client's own records.
- Emails, texts and signed PDFs aren't part of the preview.
- The preview always shows the sample angler, never a real client's account.
Preview the guide app
Click Preview as guide on the Guides page, or Preview what they'll see on a guide's page while their invite is pending. On Starter and Solo, which don't include the Guides page, go to /preview/guide instead. You'll see the guide app's home screen as a sample guide named Jordan, with the menu your plan gives guides and the sample trip with its meeting point. If you have season checklist items, you'll also see the reminder a guide gets until they acknowledge them — shown as it looks to a guide who hasn't acknowledged any, without its link.
Fishing reports, end-of-trip reports, expenses, tasks and the guide's profile aren't shown, since they hold a guide's own records. The sample angler has no travel details on file, so that section is hidden; your guides see it once it's filled in.
Leaving the preview
A preview is an ordinary page in your dashboard and doesn't change your login, so just navigate away, or use Back to dashboard (client preview) or Back to guides (guide preview) at the bottom of the page.
