Add a season
Add a season — a dated window for a trip type in a given year, with capacity.
A season is a trip type in a specific year, with start and end dates and a capacity. It's what anglers actually book into. Every season belongs to exactly one trip type, so the trip type has to exist first.
Create one
- Go to Seasons and choose Add Season.
- Pick the trip type (only active ones appear), set the year, start and end dates, and total slots (capacity).
- Add optional notes, then save.
You can have one season per trip type per year — e.g. one 'Salmon 2027'. To run the same trip across years, add a season for each year under the same trip type.
If you sell a season as discrete bookable weeks, add Trips within it (e.g. 'Week 1: May 2–8'). Most small outfits skip this and book the whole season; larger operations use trips to manage week-by-week capacity.
The roster on the season page
Once a season has trips, its page shows a live roster under each one: every booked angler as a chip, parties grouped together, and a capacity count like 4/6 booked. Bookings made into the season without a specific week collect in a Season-wide bookings box until you place them. You can move anglers and whole parties between weeks right from the roster — see the season roster article for how moves work and what travels with a booking.
A season that has bookings can't be deleted — deactivate it instead if you're no longer taking bookings.
