Recording fishing reports

Log daily observations on a trip — weather, wildlife, client performance, safety.

Fishing reports are a per-trip timeline where you log what happened each day. Pick a trip, then add a report with a date, title, and details.

What you can capture

  • Weather — the day's dominant condition and the temperature, plus free-form notes.
  • Wildlife sightings by species, with counts.
  • Whether the day produced a catch.
  • Client performance — casting, stamina, attitude.
  • Safety flags or incidents (highlighted so they stand out).

The structured details — condition, temperature, sightings, outcome — power your outfit's Fishing report insights, so log them consistently even on quiet days. A no-catch day with its conditions recorded is exactly what makes the trends honest.

On this page you see your own reports for each trip. Mark a report private to keep it off the outfitter's booking page; owners and admins can still see private reports in their Fishing Reports list, and report details are included in org-wide Fishing report insights. Clients never see fishing reports. Safety notes are always emphasized.
